A coworker of mine was going on and on about how healthy she feels because she gets oatmeal from Starbucks for breakfast. She said she likes that they offer a healthier option, etc, etc. Well, with this oatmeal that she's eating for breakfast, she's drinking a chocolate filled frappuccino. Hmm.
Re: Does this make sense to anyone else?
There are soooo many people out there who don't understand how many calories are in what they eat, and drinks are one of the biggest culprits of this. It's like the stories you hear of people who cut soda out of their diets and lost 20 lbs - it's crazy how many calories come from liquids. I laugh on the inside when people tell me how healthy they're eating even when I know how unhealthy it is.
It drives me crazy- the woman who teaches cooking at our school is all about cooking healthy and making smart choices. But she's about 80 lbs overweight, you never see her pass up dessert, and she drives the 2 blocks to work every day. To each his own!
Makes perfect sense. ?Save the calories for what you reeeeaaalllly want
)
I would TOTALLY print out how many calories are in each and casually leave it on her desk when she's in the bathroom lol?

Well... oatmeal and a chocolate frappuccino is healthier than a donut and a chocolate frappuccino...
I'm with you, though. I think fancy "coffee" drink sales would drop dramatically if people knew what was in them and how many calories they were.
