depressed?

has anyone been a little depressed since getting pregnant? ?i feel like total crap and pregnancy is not really what i expected. ?i thought for sure i would be feeling better by this point in the pregnancy. ?on top of it, we cant sell our condo and dh's parents are divorcing and my work hours have been drastically cut. ?i guess i am feeling overwhelmed by everything going on.

Re: depressed?

  • My depression comes and goes as it always did. It hit me pretty bad earlier in the week. Hang in there. Just think about the day that you get to lay eyes on your beautiful child. You will know it was all worth it.

  • It can be hard not to be overwhelmed, and it is hard to see some PG girls who glow and look fabulous and it seems like all is perfect for them.

But everyone has ups and downs during PG. there is so much that is unknown and so much to worry about. you are growing a person and that is not something you can prepare your body and mind for.

hang in there. some days can be hard, and even though you may not feel it, but you are amazing.

    you are not alone. :)

  • I am sorry that you are feeling so down; everything will be alright & everything will work out.  I am not sure who started the rumor that pregnancy was easy or even fun; it effects every woman differently & it is OK if you are feeling down.....but just think soon enough you will be feeling the baby move & kick & then you will get to meet you little one & all the yucky feelings that you had while pregnant will fade away!

I will keep you in my thoughts & I hope that you find your pregnancy joy soon!

  • I've been going through it pretty bad the whole time.  I was put on medication last year (I sorta lost it after both my parents died in a 4 month period) and stopped taking it once I got BFP.  I had resigned myself to just feeling crappy til the baby was born but after seeing her on the screen yesterday I feel drastically different.  I'm sure there will be ups and downs but try to focus on the positive.  If it gets really bad talk to your Dr, there are safe meds like Zoloft that you can take while pregnant.
