I was laid off this morning. I wasn't as sad as I thought I'd be. Me, my supervisor, our director, his boss, our admin, 2 PMs and two other ladies area all gone in my department. i'm doing okay; thanks for the prayers and support, guys! Hopefully, I won't be in pain Sat. and I'll see some of you at the Jason's Deli/GV Consign GTG.

I'm starting my search tomorrow. I've been browsing on Monster, but now I'll be seriously looking. If you know of anyone with openings in interior design/space planning or in need of someone with AutoCAD experience, let me know!!

They are giving me the last week, plus two weeks notice pay and 5 weeks severance. It might be more than 5 weeks; they might have screwed it up becuase another coworker who hasn't been there as long is getting more than me so they're loking into it.

I'm so sorry. Being laid off is no fun (we're going through it right now), but I'm glad you did get severance.

Don't just look on Monster.com, check careerbuilder, DICE, and (yes, it sounds weird) craigslist. I found my current position on craigslist after being laid off and it's been wonderful. Made me glad I HAD been laid off - this job paid better and was closer to home than the one that laid me off! Good luck!
