Adenoid removal tomorrow.. voice change?

DS goes in tomorrow morning to have his adenoids out... I am really looking forward to it being over with.. I think it is really going to help with his sleep apnea and the constant snot build up in his nasal cavity...

 Our ENT specialist said that his voice may change as he won't be constantly plugged up.. they said he probably sounds more nasal right now and because he will be cleared out he won't sound so nasal anymore.. Did anyone experience this?

My daughter had her adenoids removed a few times (yes, they can grow back!) and it had no impact on her voice.
