Does thrush always mean yeast diaper rash?

I found out yesterday that DS has thrush.  I'm assuming we must have caught it early because its only in his cheek and I don't seem to notice it on me (other than red nipples)- he's breastfeeding.  My other concern now is our cloth diapers- I've read that it can cause yeast diaper rashes and I remember reading how hard that is to get rid of it.  Does it mean we'll automatically have that problem?  Is there anything I should do in the mean time?  Should I ask vinegar to our wash now to be safe?  Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.

  • You could add 50 drops of grapefruit seed extract to the rinse cycle, if you want to be sure you aren't getting it in his diapers. That should kill it if it is there.

    We use this: https://www.motherlove.com/product_diaper_rash_relief.php

and it does wonders for any rash she gets. We have also put it under her chin/ in her neck rolls when she gets milk in there. It is CD safe, so if you see any redness starting, you can usually prevent a full-on rash by using it.
