1) My wonderful, supportive API community and friends who have stepped in to help this week. With one e-mail I have offers of food, dinner was delivered tonight, someone to hold Kate while I get a massage this week and I have someone coming over on Friday to help me with housework and to keep me company.
2) That my dh works for our chiropractor so I can get treated without us going into hawk. This week alone would have cost us well over $300 already...but we are blessed and she isn't charging us a dime.
3) That we are lucky enough to have great medical insurance so Kate's meds were 100% covered and my medications this week are affordable. I feel for anyone who has to pay out of pocket...or even anyone who has high co-pays. With this economy I can see how someone would have to choose between food and medicine. I am grateful that I don't have to make that choice.
4) I am thankful for modern medical science which is currently giving possibly life saving chemo to someone I love and hold dear.
5) Finally...I am thankful for my on-line friends and community who have all given me much needed support. Thank you.
Now...feel free to add to this list. =0)
Re: Today I am thankful for...
I'll get on the thankful train...
I am thankful for my fortunate upbringing, my education, the support system around me and how all of these things have helped shape me as a parent. I just got back from a client's house (a baby my son's age with an 18 yr old mom) I was reminded that there are many, many people with much, much less.
Me Me Me!
1. That DH thought of mom this V-day. Not only did he make her day not-so-painful, he actually made it bright. Well done, DH. Well done.
2. The two small people who were formed in my belly. They amaze me every day, and my love for them grows exponentially every moment.
3. My mom, who never lets me down, always builds me up, and is the most selfless, loving individual the world has ever known.
4. My health.
5. Two businesses that are holding strong.
6. Midnight to 6am - my sleepy time.
1.) Despite having 2 chronic diseases (Hypothyroidism and Type 1 diabetes), I am maintaining a healthy pregnancy with (so far) no complications.
2.) My parents are willing and able to come visit us, and when they come they help us get a lot of things done that are on our "to do" list.
3.) My husband is SO supportive and loving and same-minded as me in terms of our impact on the environment and how we will raise our child(ren).?
