DH and I are starting TTC this summer and we have already started talking about baby names. I thought it would be nice to get some opinions from total strangers.
Ada Lynn
Lucy Catherine
Anna Rose
Also, if you like Anna Rose would you use it as a double name or just go by Anna? We are southern so double names are nothing unusual where we live.
Thanks!
Re: Love an opinion...
I thought about this, but I worried that Annabelle said with a southern accent would sound too much like an extra from Gone With the Wind.
Also, Lynn, Catherine and Ann are family names. My mn is Ann and I got it from my grandmother, so I was hoping to keep as close to the namesake as possible while still making it feel updated. (I always felt like Ann was the most boring middle name, but Anna felt cute.)
I love Anna Rose, followed by Ada Lynn
Both very very pretty!
Good Luck TTC, and agreeing on names with DH. I know both have been very trying for us hehe DH and i have the hardest times agreeing on names, the only name weve agreed on 100% is the girls names, the boys names are the hardrest for us!
Thanks! It has been the opposite with us...we are loaded up with boy names with both like but girl names are a different story. I think DH only likes names that seem common, which exactly what I'm NOT looking for. Oh well, at least we've got time.
Lucy Catherine
I would just go by Anna.?
Ditto.
I like Lucy Catherine and Anna Rose
I also like Lucy Rose, Catherine Rose, and Catherine Anne Those names have tons of great possible combinations!
Loving Ada!?
Loving it so much I'm off to ask DH what he thinks of it.... (and we're not starting TTC until December! Isn't it fun to think of names?!)?
Bruin,
my husband and I have been talking about names for at least 2 years already, and we're not starting TTC for at least 2 more years! We just love talking about potential names (and we both have big time babies on the brain even though we know we shouldn't have a baby right now). It's good to know that I'm not the only one who obsesses so far in advance! Although you at least are planning on TTC this year, so you are not as crazy as me
Ada really kept jumping out at me every time I was looking at vintage names.
I think DH is still deciding whether he loves it or not...but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I think it's smart to start talking about all of this baby stuff in advance (if that's an option of course!). DH and I used to only talk about names that we liked...and I always said "I know I'm not ready for a baby because all I care about are names and cute clothes". But now we've expanded our discussions...just today we had a conversation about diapers! HA. We're ready now! hehe.
I did float Ada past my DH - and he didn't shoot it down right away! Always a good sign!
What about Ada Rose? (But I know you said Lynn was a family name...)?
I like Anna Rose as a double name, but I can see Anna being the primary nickname.
Ada Lynn - I like Ada but not Lynn
Lucy Catherine - Don't mind Catherine as a mn but dislike Lucy as a given name (only like it as a nn)
Anna Rose - Love Anna, dislike Rose.

I love Anna Rose. Anna has been our girl name since we started dating - we may not even use it, but we've always loved it. I think it sounds fine solo or as a double name. ?Just don't hyphenate it.?
?
Lucy is very cute btw. ?
