***co18co***

What marathon are you running. I am a veteran of 7 and my last was right before DD was born. I miss it and hope to get back into it after DD #2.

Training for a marathon must be HARD with a toddler. I am still running, but not the mileage I used to do.

GL and let me know how you do!! So exciting!

Re: ***co18co***

  • I meant my last was right before I got pg  with DD #1 :)
  • Wow! That is fantastic that you've done so many!  I am doing the National Marathon in (duh), DC on March 21.  It's my first, and I am so excited.

I am not all that fast (I'll be PUMPED to do it in less than 4:30), but I am strong, so hopefully it'll go well!

  • Sweet girl. I ran the inaugural National marathon in 2002. It is a good run. I don't think I recall it being that hard. It was a long time ago though. If I wasn't super pg I would come out there and run some miles with you when it gets hard at the end. My DH is what keeps me going. He maps out the routes and meets me at intervals- really easy to do in DC. I love him for that. I am sure you DH is very supportive too!

I bet you could do it in less than 4:30. Please let us all know how you do and kick some butt girl!

  • Thanks for the support!  DH and I have been looking at the map, and making plans.  My mom/step dad, dad/step mom, and sis are all coming down from NY, too...so there will be lots of hands to hand me jelly belly orange sports beans, and to keep Benjamin happy along the course.

  • And I totally just realized you were in MD...I just assumed you were in TX.

We lived in Odenton until last May, and are on the VA side now, in NoVA.

  • Oh yay! Lots of family will be great! I live in the Olney area. I work in Bethesda and we hope to move to Bethesda, but the market is crap for selling. We will wait a couple years.  I didn't realize you were in Northern VA until recently.  Very cool!

We live in the best area for running. I train on the rock creek trails and do a point to point to the national mall (take the metro home) or do out and backs. I miss those long runs. I used to do a lot of training with Mont. County Road runners- very cool people.

I will be thinking of you on the big day!!

Speaking of running- I am off to go for a quick jog. Later
