I googled it but I have gotten different answers. What is the old wives tale about the heartbeat and being a boy/girl? My baby's was 165....

over 140 = girl, under 140 = boy

fwiw, it was wrong for my dd.  I've been over 160 everytime this pg, so we shall see!

higher = girl

for me, it was off.  Our baby was measuring in the 150s-60s every time (plus up to 173 once when he was really active during a measurement), but he is DEFINITELY a boy in there!

Mine has been about 156-160 everytime and I am having a boy...so...it is an old wives tail...HAHAHA

I know!  I'm all about trying out the old wive's tales to see if they're right or wrong!  Plus, I am just impatient and can't wait for the big u/s, so I like to humor myself in the mean time.

My boy's is always 150-160...

Wrong for me too. Mine has been 180, 158, 167... and it's definitely a boy!
