Girls name ?

So, my husband and I have decided on the name Hannah if we have a girl. We wanted her middle name to be Nicole (after me) but everytime I say the names together, it makes me think of Anna Nicole Smith, lol, for some reason I get that song in my head from when she had that TV show, the "anna anna anna anna anna nicole." I would really love her to have my name, but this is driving me crazzyy, lol. What do you think?

Hmmm, I actually do think of that too. i have a similar problem. I really like the name Ava for a girl and the middle name maria was my moms. Put them together and you have Ava maria...sounds pretty but also just like the song Ave Maria. I'll have to keep thinking.

Unless your name is Smith, I do not think it is an issue!  Also, how often is the middle name used?  When kids are in school, no one calls them by their first and middle name.  Their generation will know nothing about her anyway. It is pretty!

Hannah is one of my favorites.  But I think the Anna nicole thing would bug me at first.  On the otherhand, once she's here, and is growing, that name will embody that little person and her personality- the A.N.S. thing will fade.

When I was teaching, a new teacher was hired- a gorgeous blonde who was always perfectly in place, and very sweet.  It took about a week to stop thinking "stripper pole" b/c she was pretty and her name was Cinnamon.  It took little time for the association to fade b/c she was clearly not a stripper- probably the most no-nonsense and modest person I ever met.  Point being-though it seems big now, the association will fade and her generation won't know her (ANNA) anyway.

Yeah, I definitely think of Anna Nicole Smith, too. Is there a variation of either Hannah or Nicole that you can use to make it sound different?

I think it's a pretty name.  She will probably not be called by her first and middle names very much, and besides, I doubt Anna Nicole will be that well known by future generations (lets hope...)

For what its worth, I didn't think of Anna Nicole until I got to that part in your post.  As PP said, it is a generation thing & your childs friends wont have a clue who Anna Nicole is. The only time it might be noticed is in the beginning when you are announcing the full name. I say do it- its beautiful.

Yeah, that is true about the generation thing. I guess I will just have to get over the Anna Nicole thing Thank you all for your help, I really needed it

Now just a few more weeks until we find out if we will even have a girl! Cant Wait!
