Middle name help...

We're decided on Claire for a first name and want something unique and meaningful for the middle name. we live right by emory u. and met in college in "emerson hall"....so we are thinking Emery for Claire Emery. I know it's typically a boys name (and not very common for either gender) but it would be special to us, and it IS only a middle name. what do you think?

I like it. The traditional name lovers can only say much because of the points you've made- a) it has meaning for you and b) it's just a mn. Use it!

And the combo sounds cute, IMO.

BTW, DH and I passed Emory today and I was telling him how Emery is becoming a popular girls name. He didn't believe me. I told him to hang out on the bump and he'd see. LOL

We went the meaningful route on our son's middle name. DH and I live in Overland Park and will be moving two months after Elliot is born. So we chose the middle name Parker to signify this place in our life and all the good that has happened here. I love your idea of doing the same thing with Emery!
