Update on the Brazilian wax....

For those of you that wanted an update here it is....

I will admit it was painful but not as bad as I thought. It wasn't this aweful omg never doing this again experience. The woman I had was super nice and talkative which helped take my mind off the pain. She did forwarn me that I'd be more sensitive b/c I am pregnant and this was my first time. If thats as bad as it gets I will absolutly be doing this again!!!

For those of you who like to sport the "landing strip" the whole process will be less painful as I found the closer to the middle she got the worse it was, she even admitted this.

You are VERY exposed. I figured there would be a towel or something involved, um no such thing. Apparently one girl she did has to cover her head with a towel or something b.c she was soooo embaressed. I figure soon enough the world will be looking at my bits when the baby is born so I better get used to it.

The after math isn't painful at all for me (everyone is different). She let me clean up and then put on a cream to help with irritation and to soothe the skin. I didn't find any irritation with the clothes I was wearing and I even managed to get it on with my FI last nite and today pain free and it wasn't irriated at all. The woman even noticed that I do in general have sensitive skin. I don't know maybe I was lucky but I would def. recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about it. Hope that wasn't tmi

Well considering I've gotten laid twice since lol. And I believe his response was "smooooth" lol.

It was worth it but I by no means did it all for him.

OMG! You are one BRAVE woman! I could never lol. I am so jealous! Last night in all my 27 wk glory, I attempted shaving, sorry if its tmi, but I will be calling my hubbs in for reinforcement over the next 12 weeks lol. Congrats on gettin the booty! and kudos on the wax!

She said to come back in 4 weeks but each time you get it done the hair comes in less and less and not as course (sp?). Eventually you could probably go 6 weeks.

 See my mom is a hair dresser and I get her to cut my hair.  I have never had ot pay for a haircut so this is my replacement for that.

FYI- If the pain is a bit much you ladies can try finding someone who sugar waxes. It is less painful because they pull in the direction of the hair. There is also less ingrown hairs, it last longer, and the wax cleans up easier so your not sticky for the rest of the day.

Jealous!!! ?I keep my hair short so I have to get it cut often, and my guy has worked his way up the scale so I already pay a ton for haircuts. ?But this really sounds totally worth it. ?Anything to help me feel sexier and more attractive at this point...?

I am going next Saturday and am pretty excited! it will be my first time, but I have been told by my girlfried who recommended her to me that she is super good at what she does.

I feel really dumb asking this, but how much "trimming" did you do beforehand? ?I know you shouldn't shave so the wax can grip the hair, but do you trim the part you normally don't shave?

lol No, it's everything.  Front, middle, back.  Sometimes people leave a "landing strip" in the front.

Glad it wasn't too bad for you! I just had one done on Sunday.  I've been getting them done for over 12 years (I get really bad razor burn and infections from the razor burn).  I am at a point where I can go 2 months to 2.5 months and hardly have anything there.
