2nd Trimester

grr, now I'm in a sh*tty mood. (long)

Before DH left work today they asked him to work overtime tomorrow. I was trying to be upbeat about it, the money will be good and we didn't really have any big plans, but he will have to get up a 3 am and probably won't get home until 7pm. So tonight we went to my parent's coffee shop (for open mic night) and left early since DH was practically falling asleep, we no sooner left and his phone was ringing. It was his supervisor asking him to go out tonight to cut up a downed tree. I am weary of this because one of their guys was killed last year by a tree falling on him, and now DH will get all of 3 hours sleep (max) before going to work all day tomorrow. I just feel like at some point he has to say no, it's just not safe, he will be running equipment to plow snow, not really a job you would want to do if you were tired.

So I'm sure that has all around soured my mood, then I get home and get a message from my future SIL whose wedding I will be 2 months after I have DD, she wants my DD to be the flower girl, problem is, there are no formal looking dresses for 0-3 months. The smallest one we found was for 6 months, my MIL said she would prefer to just make a dress and personally I think it would be cheaper (and have a better bet at getting exactly what the bride is looking for), especially considering how much I am going to be spending (on top of the initial cost of my dress) to get it altered since we had to order them last month. IDK, all of these things by themselves aren't a huge deal, but all at once? Come on, give a hormonal lady a break!

On top of all this, I have to wait for DH to get off work so I can go pick him up since I had to drop him off on our way home-no sleep for me either I guess. Crying

  • Awh, that does suck, I hate to go to sleep when DH isn't home.  And all the drama with the wedding and dresses... How do they fit you for a dress you are going to be wearing a month after baby is born, you have no idea how much weight you are going to gain or lose.

Hopefully your DH will be able to take some time off soon so he can get a break from all the work he has been putting in.  He probably just wants to get all the extra money he can before the baby gets here.

  • My dh is an electrician, so I hear you about hormonal worry.  Sorry about taht I know it stinks...however, this may make you happy..

This site has some what look kinda like christening but formal looking gowns starting at 0 months and little formal gowns (white) starting at 3 months....and they aren't too terribly expensive (yes for that little of material, but no for the occasion between $35 and $55)
