1st day 'away' from ds

i had to cover and babysit for my sister today and could not bring ds with. it was the longest ive been away from ds. 8:00-5:00. i started crying as I left and I almost cried when I got home and saw him again. Its so darn emotional!!! but now that ive survived that, im hoping it wont be so emotional next time. crazy thing is he is almost a year! and when i came home he was totally fine and acted like he had just spent the whole day with me. no biggie!...definatly more emotional for me then him!

    Wow! You've gone almost a whole year with leaving him?? I'm impressed.

    It is so much more emotional for mom's then it is for babies.  Most days when I go to work DS simply waves to me, it hurt the first few times, now I am thrilled that he is that excited about being with DH or my mom.
