Crib?

Where did you buy your crib? I haven't started to google yet although I did peek at JCPenney's website awhile back. I'm not sure what the average price is. I don't want to over do it. Times are tough these days.  I'm thinking of going white. I painted my old bedroom furniture white so I have a chest of drawers and a night stand that I'll probably use. I figured a white crib would look the best with what I have.

Both Target and Burlington Coat Factory/Baby Depot have some good ones.

We looked at JCPenney, PB Kids and BRU. Went with one we found at BRU and love it! They had a way cute white one but it was pricey!!

We're getting the Gulliver crib from IKEA. It's really inexpensive and it turns into a toddler bed.

FYI: Ikea sells everything separately, make sure you order the mattress and any accessories you'll want.

Looked at BRU, but went with a set from a local furniture store.

i started with baby bargains and just looked directly at their recommended brands...we settled on a babi italia...and once we had that picked out we searched to see where we could find it the cheapest, which happened to be BRU.  i hear ya on using what you've got...i'd go for a white crib too if i were you!

Crib advice from someone who bought a $750 dollar one from babies r us,  that our daughter NEVER slept in!  UGGG Our daughter who is now five years old refuse to sleep in her crib so it was a complete waste.  Find something you like at an expensive store then go to a cheaper one and find a suitable replica!  They won't they in them as long as you think, even with the toddler conversion!  The bassinet was a great investment she loved that and slept in that until we had to move her out because she started to climb out!  LOL Sometimes I think they just like being near you, she didn't have to be in our bed but for sure wanted to be in our room.  This time around I'm trying something different..............we're still working on that plan! ;-)

I got mine at Shopko.... although I didnt see any white ones... Target has a few that were cute... haven't been to Babies R Us maybe check there or Baby Depot....
