DH sucks at Valentine's Day

He just called from the store and says "say I was going to buy flowers, what kind would you want?" "oh and what color?". I said..."Why don't you just come home and try again tomorrow" He says he just can't keep anything from me. I love him and he means well, but I want to be surprised!

Every time DH gets flowers he gets them in a vase. We have a bajillion vases! I can put them in one we have DH!

My DH can do flowers, but not reservations.  I overheard him calling restaurants last night to make reservations for V-Day.  All booked up.  Silly man.  We're going out to lunch instead.

Eh my Dh is the same way.  He's VERY predictable. He called to tell me he had dinner reservations at a nice restaurant and I already knew that is what we would be doing! But it's still nice and thoughful!

My DH doesn't "believe" in valentine's day (I don't really either but still) all I ever ask for is a nice card.  I usually don't even get that.  I have just accepted the fact that romantic gestures just aren't his thing.

Same here, the hubs keeps asking what I want, I am like " I want YOU to think of something, I don't want to have to tell you what I want" I don't have anything specific, I would like him to just surprise me, whatever that may be. I am not a jewelry girl, and I am fairly easy to please, but I don't want to pick my own gift.

for me its the opposite. Last year DH went to this fancy floral shop and spent an outrageous amount on a huge boquet of flowers.. they were gorgeous i have to say, but I kill them pretty much right away. I'd rather have something I can keep or a gift card to the spa is good too! ;-)

mine is pretty lousy at it as well my mom sent him a text reminding him its coming up and that he better get me something decent cause i got him a great gift so the second he got the text he called to ask me what i wanted and told me about the text!  He does this for every holiday waits till the last moment then cant some up with a thing he ended up doing nothing for my bday last year! normally i don't mind but iv gotten pretty grouchy and uncomfortable the last couple weeks and i can see myself being quite upset.
