Is it okay to have unprotected sex or just in general if you're dialated (ex, I'm 3cm)? I'm trying to think of any possible way to help this baby make her way out, but just don't know how comfortable I feel with this one knowing I'm already dialated. How many of you ladies are dialated and still doing the deed?

If you were using a condom then it wouldn't be as effective.  The prostaglandins in semen are one of the factors why sex is used to move labor along.

I think as long as your water is intact you're good to go.

yep - semen helps soften the cervix.

According to my Dr as long as your water hasn't broken you can have all the sex you want. That made DH happy but I can't say I feel the same.

Yup, we just learned this in our birth class that it's actually the same drug they may give you to help induce labor, Prostaglandins; she said 3 times is equal to the dose the hospital gives you!
