2nd Trimester

Drinking?

Is anyone drinking while pregnant? (not getting drunk, just a drink on a special occasion)

Because I turned 21 while I was already pregnant, and now that i'm in my second trimester people have been telling me that a drink won't hurt anything, what are your thoughts???

  • I'm choosing to avoid all alcohol during m pregnancy.

  • I read a lot about girls on here having an occasional glass of red wine or something, but personally I won't do it.

9 months is such a short time to give up drinking & I don't want to risk anything by having a few drinks while PG.  Flame away... just my personal choice.

  • Lots of women have a drink here or there, but it's not worth the risk to me.  No one knows for sure how much alcohol is safe during pregnancy.  It's a personal decision that you just have to make for yourself.

  • It's a personal decision, but consumption of any liquor while pg is typically cautioned against.

I enjoy a small glass of wine every now and then.  Tomorrow will be one of those times, and I'm really looking forward to it.  I also appreciate a really good, extra hoppy beer once every few weeks.

  • I haven't had a glass yet but probably will but it will not be a regular thing.
  • It's not worth the risk to me.  I think people should be able to go 9 months without it.  I have not had a single sip in 18 months and I it hasn't hurt me.  First I was pg with DD, then I was BFing and now I am pg again.

  • I haven't had anything to drink. But my doctor said at this point alittle is ok. Just my choice not to. Ask your doc and Happy 21st!
