Really?? I'm 15 weeks. My uterus is "low", of course I'm carrying low. Everytime I see this girl she is making a guess at the sex. It was cute the first 5 times, after 500 it's kind of annoying.
That theory is a load of crap. I can't tell you how many people told me I was carrying one or the other with my first one. Of course when you're pregnant, everything has to have an opinion.
When I was at 8w, my mom told me it must be a girl because I had gained all the weight in my ass. Thanks mom, I haven't actually gained any weight (EDIT: at that time, I've definitely gained it now), but thanks for that confidence booster.
Her reasoning was that when she was pg with her son she was high. Then she proceeded to tell me I'm carrying "wide". She's always been super competetive with me and usually when she starts with the "Well, I...." I just walk away and end the convo. So I'm not surprised she's throwing out comments about my low and wide belly. I'm really trying hard to like her since I work so closely with her...but she makes it really difficult!
My MIL believes this "theory" 100% and I think it is a crock. She told me she knew we were having a boy because he was low and that "every pregnant person she has ever known has matched the theory." Yeah, well now he is inching closer and closer to my ribs. Not so low anymore!!
Re: "you're carrying low, it's a girl"
I love when people told me, when I was PG with my daughter, that I was carrying girl because of how 'All over and large' I was carrying.
Um, please keep my giant ass out of this, thanks.

Stuff like that is so stupid. All while I carried Ava, everyone said that I looked like I was carrying a boy. Seriously?
