hey, its steffsjets fault, she started it by mentioning it and now dear belly is gurgling. What are you all having? I'm thinking of a can of soup but not sure what flavour.

I've had soup for lunch the last two days, today it's a calazone and left over chinese food, cause what goes better with calazone than an eggroll, lol. Yea for stuff your face Friday!!!
roastbeef and cheese sandwich with yogurt, banana, apple, nutrigrain bar, and animal crackers on the side...don't worry, I can't eat it all at once...I just graze all afternoon!

I'd eat that all at once and then hit the vending machine later on in the afternoon. Seriously. This is why I'm going to be way, way over 200 pounds when it's all said and done.
yeah, I'm thinking blt's for supper... have to defrost the bacon and don't like to use the micro for bacon...
Just curious, why don't you like the microwave for bacon? DH and I just started doing this because 1) we like our bacon extra-crispy and 2) I hate having to deal w/ the splattered grease on the stove and counters and 3) it cuts down on the smell....our house doesn't smell like bacon all day after we nuke it.

well, since you asked...
when I have a frozen pkg of bacon then nuke it, it cooks uneven (even on low defrost) which then makes it harder to pry the pieces apart. Then I'm stuck with having to make the whole pkg of bacon instead of just a few pieces at a time. When I do make bacon, I line a baking sheet with foil, put a few pieces on, put another layer of foil on and then bake it in the oven... this limits the splatters and definitely makes for easy cleanup, esp if you take the bacon off the baking sheet and then freeze the pan so the grease solidifies. The smell is no problem for us and is usually gone within an hour with the stovefan on.

another great way to do bacon is on a sheet pan in the oven! if you just lay the bacon down and the but it in a cold oven set the temp to 350 and let it cook as the oven warms up! I love to use this when I am making a big breakfast!
