So my IL's are coming down this weekend for a night, and they are staying at a hotel. My MIL always asks me if she can have DD stay overnight while they are down.
How would you feel having your child stay at a hotel overnight with your IL's?
I would let them but i am close to all my family and my husbands family. My neice and nephew along with my cousins kids are always staying at family memebers houses so I dont' think anything of it. I am sure my baby will stay nights with my family as well.
I'd be fine with it as long as my child wouldn't be sleeping in the bed with them. But then, there's nothing wrong with my IL's...well MIL is all I really have. She's cool.
I wouldn't, not because it is my MIL but because she keeps telling us that she is seeing a dr for her memory and her memory is bad and she has health problems because of it. It makes me nervous. I know this is going to cause issues between mh and I because I would totally feel comfortable having my children stay with my parents.
Thanks for the responses. The only reason they are getting a room is because we don't have a spare room for both my IL's to stay. Usually, when it's my MIL that comes down, she sleeps on the couch. But even then she asks if she can get a room and have a sleepover with DD when she's down.
Also, every time they go on vacation, she asks if she can take DD with them. She seriously asked if they could take DD this past christmas to Georgia to visit my SIL. I almost told her she was crazy.

Again something I wouldn't have a problem with. Probably not for Christmas though. I think once kids are at a certain age, they need to wake up on Christmas morning at home and with their own tree. But if my MIL was visiting relatives out of town during a time that wasn't a major holiday, it'd be cool with me.
Re: The IL's are coming, the IL's are coming!
Ditto.

Really depends on your inlaws and if your DD has any issues sleeping etc.
If you're not comfortable then say no. They'll have time to see her in the day.
If my MIL asked I'd probably be ok with it but she's great.
