Neti pot

Ok several people said to get a neti pot for the stuffy nose issue. ?My questions...where do you buy one other than online, do they really work and I looked it up and it looks like you are just pouring water/saline up into your nose, couldn't you use something else at home for that?

Re: Neti pot

  • I LOVE mine. I got it at CVS.

It cleans you out (gross, I know) so that you can breathe and not be sniffing all day. It also clears your sinuses. I say buy it. Totally worth the small amount of money you'll spend.

  • I saw them at CVS and at Walgreens. I have not tried one.  I don't like the thought of having to pour water up my nose! I'd rather use a nasal spray.

  • I wonder if they call them something different here in Canada because I can't find one. On the plus side, I've saved a TONNE of money in non-surgical cosmetic work. I think my entire face from my nose down has been chemically peeled (minus the chemicals) thanks to all of the blowing. Went through an entire box between 5am and 9am this morning. I'm thinking that I may need to switch to the quilted paper towels for multiple use of the same tissue.
  • My father-in-law used a neti pot last fall for his cold. It worked like a charm! I know the process sounds gross.

I think he got it at Target.

  • I got mine at CVS and I used it when I had my cold way back in early 1st tri.

It's gross but really did give me some relief. Basically you pour it in one nostril and it comes out the other. The saline solution helps to clean and de-swell the sinuses.

  • I love mine! I got it when I had a sinus infection over Christmas and it really helped me to feel better faster. My husband bought mine at CVS. Here's a link to the brand I got:

I want to say it was like $17-$20.
