Stupid dr. appt...long

I called the dr. on Wed. bc I woke up on Tues night w/contractions every 3 minutes lasting 30-40 seconds for about 40 mins or so.  When I got up and started walking around, they went away...I figured BH.  I have been swelling alot gaining 4 lbs in 10 days at my last visit last Tues, and 5 lbs in 2 weeks before that.  I am still in the normal range for weight gain, they figured it was water weight & I had no protein in urine or high blood pressure so they said I was fine.  Well, I woke up Wed. really swollen and feeling terrible so I called the dr.  They got me in yesterday afternoon, I have protein, blood & sugar in my urine; my blood pressure was high; my swelling is pretty bad and my legs are beyond itchy.  So they ran a bunch of tests and won't know the results for two weeks.  The dr. told me though that the baby seems to be in the breach position (she was "locked and loaded" last Tues).  She said that the baby still has time to flip & they will do an ultrasound next week.  They are now talking about having to take the baby early.  Whatever is best for the baby is fine w/me but not really how I envisioned.
