Lurker here... so I got my growth U/S results and

as of today they say my baby is a normal weight at about 8 pounds or more. Um yeah except I have 2 weeks left. I'm being induced a week prior to my due date because my last baby was a 10 pounder! So now I am terrified this one will be mighty big too. Sigh... Anyway, hoping the U/S is measuring wrong and baby will be smaller. Boo....

Ouch!  I am sorry.  My mom had me and I was almost 9pds.  My brother was born after me and he was almost 11pds.  They say each baby you have weighs a little more than the one before.  Good Luck!

I hope the u/s is measuring wrong. My friend at 36 weeks was told her baby was already 7 1/2 lbs, 4 weeks later (last week when he arrived), he was only 7 lbs 11 oz.

Growth u/s are notoriously inaccurate and for some reason doctors still panic from them. Mine was at 38 weeks and Jack measured 7lbs9oz. At 41 weeks he was born at 6lbs3oz.

Good luck!  I'm scheduled for a c/s today because my OB is very concerned about my u/s weight estimate putting my baby at 9lbs 13oz.  I understand your concern, hopefully your baby is smaller and you have a breeze of a delivery.
