Just a few short months ago DD was so cooperative. Now she fights me every step of the way, even if it's something she really wants to do. We were going to take a walk after lunch the day we had the record high (59 degrees!). She was excited about it before lunch. 30 minutes later she had changed into her pajamas while I was cleaning up from lunch and was wanting nothing to do with a walk. No amount of bribing was working. Finally after some more crabbiness I got her down for her nap. She wakes up and wants to go for a walk. ::sigh:: By then it was almost dark and too late because we had dinner plans.
Someone tell me that it gets better. Are 3 year olds this stubborn too?
Re: 2 1/2 is a really tough age
I hate to say it, but the above is true. I would much rather have the tantrum-throwing 2 year old back, than the attitude filled 3 year old.
I already have a splash of that attitude complete with scowling faces and "no mommy I don't" and "yes I can."
"You can't climb up on the back of the couch. You could fall and get hurt."
"Yes Mommy I can."
"You need to put away your Play Doh before bathtime."
"No I don't. I not need a bath."

Yeah, sounds like your 2.5 has started the terrible 3's early. Just wait...it gets way worse. K&K are 2.5yrs and not too bad yet. L is 3.5yrs and I dont think theres an end in sight.
I have heard that 4 is the light at the end of the tunnel.
