DH has an electronics fetish!!!

So, for the last year I have let it go that we are still living in DH's bachelor pad house.  But with the baby on the way, we have gotten serious about redecorating.  The problem is, every time I buy something to make the house look like grown-ups actually live here, he decides he needs some new piece of electronics!!  I ordered a nice sofa (leather, totally NOT girly) he bought a plasma tv, I ordered a new comforter for the bed (again, not girly) and he bought a Blu-ray player.  I bought new pictures for the living room and bedroom, he bought a laptop.  I was going for something out of the Pottery Barn catalog, but I think we are going to look more like a Best Buy!!!  I can't imagine what's going to happen when we remodel the kitchen in a few months....

I can totally relate!  While we moved into our townhome together, we've had to learn how to incorporate our styles.  He is VERY much into electronics (he works on websites for a living).  I've learned to compromise by letting him have his electronics, but I pick out the furniture they go on.  For instance, when he got his new LCD TV, I picked out the stand to put it on (he likes glass metal and I prefer wood), so we went with wood (which he seems to like now).  Seems to work out well for us.. good luck to you though!
