Is it tacky?

To print out people's addresses on lables for our baby anouncements?  I've got them all so neatly organized in an Excel spreadsheet and I would sooo love to just print them instead of hand writing every one.  WDYT?

Re: Is it tacky?

  • I'd totally understand.  I'm considering doing it.  They'll get them way quicker than if we have to hand address them.

I think it's way way more acceptable than wedding invites with address labels.

  • if e-announcements aren't tacky then printing labels for tangible announcements certainly isn't tacky, imo.  i'm not doing e-announcements but tons of people do and it seems very acceptable these days.  i say go for it!

  • totally not tacky. I have mine printed on address labels right now ready to go.
  • In my case I think people can appreciate me doing a label rather than my chicken stratch, literally it can be barely legible.

And labels can look pretty too, they don't always have to be plain.

    My vote - Not tacky.

  • I say- Go for it... And it will look really nice too. If you are that worried about it- just make sure the actual "thank-you's" are hand-written.
  • I don't think so at all!
  • When you've just had a baby, you can get away with anything.  Not tacky at all.  It's not a formal invitation to anything.

  • I don't think it's tacky.  I wouldn't think twice if I received one in the mail with an address label.

  • That's what I'm doing.  I do it every year for my Xmas cards too!
