I'm going to attempt to make a basic black maternity skirt. On my own, sewing machine and everything. It could be good, but it could be nasty.

Did you find a pattern or are you working off your own ideas? My mom told me to look through the McCall patterns online so she could make me a skirt.

Post pictures when you are done - even if it's a disaster!! I went to the store the other day to see if I could find any maternity patterns - they had a VERY limited selection, and what they did have all of the patterns were only size 10 and up which won't work for me   Good luck - can't wait to see what you end up with!!!

I couldn't find any maternity patterns. Must be my local stores or something, they suck. I'm essentially re-working a pattern I already have for an elastic waistband skirt - with my maternity measurements, I was off the sizing chart, so I figured I'd wing it.
