Did everyone survive last night?

We had HELLA storms in Bedford - including hail. It was very scary ... but the mouse slept through the whole thing. He's teething again I think and was exhausted yesterday.

Is everyone else/and their homes ok?

Re: Did everyone survive last night?

  • We made it through just fine.  I dont' think we had hail in Lewisville, unless I just slept through it.

T is teething too, so she's been waking at night.  Only once last night, but after several attempts and she wouldn't go back to sleep, we just brought her to bed with us.  It was 4 am, and we get up at 5:30 anyway.   I really don't want to make a habit out of it, but it sure is sweet waking up with my sweet baby girl in the middle of us :)

  • We are cool....we had to move things around in the garage so DH could park his car in there just in case we did get hail ( so now we know our next project is getting the garage organized)

The wind picked up pretty good ( knocked over our swing)  but other than that everything is fine.  Keanan was not even asleep when all of this started.. he has been a night owl lately and I have no idea why.

  • I was driving during the middle of the storm from Dallas to Keller, not fun! I luckily missed the worst of it as it came through Grapevine.

  • The tornado sirens went off in Plano, so of course T woke up, but I had already picked her up to preempt major hysterics.  We got a lot of very hard rain and some terrible wind gusts, but no damage.  T and I were in the bathroom on piles of quilts for a little while, just in case, hee.  It was very snug.  :)

gigi, that must have been scary and fascinating at the same time - I hate driving in storms, but I do love to watch them.  :)

  • I used to love storms, but now that I have a family, pets & no basement, I get very worried. My husband & I had a plan ready in case the sirens went off. Thankfully they didn't! Glad everyone survived!!

  • It was very anti-climatic for us thank goodness. We just got wind and heavy rain and not for long.
  • We made it.  It was really storming over in Allen with hail & the crazy wind!  There's a lot of fences down by us but thankfully we are ok.  DS slept through all of it. I'm so jealous.
  • Sirens were going off somewhere but Addy slept through the whole thing.  The wind didn't seem bad and the hail was light so no real damage here.

  • Am I bad for really wishing it would blow our old piece of crap fence down so homeowner's would replace it?  It was the one thing the sellers wouldn't negotiate with us on, sigh.
