After my 5 week check-up she said i could go back to working out, but ease back into it. I only walked for the first few weeks and now 9 weeks pp I am running again.
I was told I could resume light exercise when I felt up to it as long as it didn't increase my bleeding. I started walking in the first week and doing the elliptical slowly the 2nd week. I did wait to start running until my 6 week appt. last Friday.
I think it also makes a difference how active you were during pregnancy and what your delivery was like. I worked out until the day before I delivered and had an easy delivery and only a tiny tear which is why I think I did ok being active quickly.
