The last few nights DD has been waking up almost once an hour. She's pretty easy to get back to sleep, just give her the paci and rub her back (or feed her if she's hungry). I'm wondering if this is the 3 month growth spurt because before shes never needed to be soothed back to sleep like this all night long (she might wake once or twice, but not every hour!)
Re: Do growth spurts cause frequent night wakings?
Last night was the worst with waking every hour (poor DH had baby duty last night). The few nights before that it was like once every 2 hours. I can't believe that just a week ago she went 9 hours, so I'm really hoping it's the growth spurt. Our pedi wanted us to keep her daily feeding amount to 32 oz, so they suggested trying to hold her off on eating too much overnight. I'm not sure I agree with them lumping all babies her size together and saying she should be sleeping this much and eating only this much. And if it's a growth spurt I'm ready to give her as much as she wants tonight! Are you dealing with this too?
Yeh I take some things the Pedi says with a grain of salt. How long did it last for you?
