Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Anyone elses' DH super protective?

When we are in social settings, he always has the urge to hold DD and sometimes denies people when they ask to hold her.

He wouldn't let his niece hold her when she was almost two months old. It's not a bad thing, I'm just wondering if anyone else's DH is like this?

  • And I don't mean strangers. He'll deny grandpa or grandma, aunt or uncle.

  • No.  He'll pass her off to anyone if it gives him a minute to step out and smoke :)

  • Mine is. ?He gets REAL mad if we're out in public and someone comes up to comment about DS... he steps back.

And once I guess some old women asked to hold him at church and DH told them no. ?I was shocked he did this! (not upset though)
  • Oh relatives? ?No. ?But if they're kids yes.?
  • Well, he doesn't deny them all the time. Just when he's feeling super protective I guess.

His sister got really upset though and begged him to let her six year old daughter hold DD. She even got to the point of showing him pictures of her daughter holding other babies. It was ridiculous. He said, "sorry, she's my first."

  • I wouldn't let a six year old hold my child (unless its my six year old), but other relatives, sure.
