First it was my double stroller, now it's the Huffy Thomas bike I just bought DS yesterday.
It's a friggin' piece of shi1t! The pedal keeps falling off and there is no way to re-attach it. The handle bars are as tight as DH could get them and they still slide around.
How the heck is he supposed to ride this thing? It's going back ASAP!
Any recs on a first bike or trike?

DS has 2 different Radio Flyer bike/trikes that we really like.

It was the Combi Savvy LX, here is the link to my other post:
https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/10548919.aspxWe have the italtrike OKO. I think the trike part is really good quality and DD should be able to use it from 3 to 5 without problems. She is still a touch short for it (she is pretty short) and I don't really like to push it with the parent bar.
I totally agree about buying cruddy products. I bought a little sprout cabbage patch kid for DD and it broke after about 3 days. The leg fell off and you can't reattach it. They told me to return it to the store, which won't take it back because I don't have the package. Then they told me to ship it to them (at my expense) and they would send me a new one. Gee thanks. I can buy a new one for $10 or pay $5 and have a bunch of hassels from you and maybe get a new doll in 8 to 12 weeks and have to go to the post office. What a choice.
We have the same pink and purple one as newlywed. They also have it in blue/red. It seems really sturdy. We haven't had any issues and DD loves it.
I've always known this, but having kids and having to buy stuff for them has just reenforced it for me. You get what you pay for.
