3pm is typically what we have and what our friends do as well. However, this year, we did DD's party at 10:30 am and people were leaving at about 1pm to go home for naps. I really liked that because we were able to just serve lunch and it had an ending time to it. I have found that the later the party, the longer people tend to linger. It just makes for a long night sometimes!
xbrooklyn - It's funny you mentioned that about not liking the time....I thought people might feel that way, so I asked around before finalizing the time and everyone ended up really liking it!
a friend is having her son's 3rd b-day party at 2pm. 33 mo old DD still naps - beginning about 2 or 2:30pm. Do I just keep her up for the party so we are there on time, and just let her get crabby and pissy, or do I go late - or not at all
My 2 are pretty flexible w/ naps so we are having lunch for Mason's party at Noon and Kaleb's party will be at 2pm and we'll have cake & ice cream w/ snacks instead of a full lunch.
Re: Time of day for bday party???
I like 3pm.
As a guest and as a host, I would not like a 10:30am thing.
Good question!
