I don't think it matters much for twin moms. My OB rarely bothers to measure my belly b/c even if it's large who knows if both twins are growing the same. That being said, when I have been measured I'm about a month ahead (which means, if I'm 30 weeks along, my measurement is 34).
Really, I dont put much stock in the measurements - twin or singleton. When I was pregnant with my son, I always measured right on schedule. I had to convince my doc to do an US b/c I knew the baby was big. She just kept saying "you are measuring right on but, we will do it." So, after all was said and done, measuring on track, I had a full term 10 lb 14 oz baby! After that, I dont even ask my doc what the measurements are now with twins
My OB tells me my belly measurement, but told me that with twins, you measure about 6-8 weeks further along than you are. So if you are measuring 38 weeks, that's normal.
Last week they told me I was measuring 34 weeks, so I'm 7 weeks ahead. How crazy! Like everyone else said, the doctor doesn't really base anything on the measurement b/c it is twins.
