Do older babies eat faster?

I'm pretty sure I have heard this but DD has been throwing me for a loop.  She used to eat 5 mins on each side (and we had to struggle to work up to this after weaning her from the nipple shield she didn't even eat this long) and it seemed to be a good amount of time, about 10-15 mins total every 2 hours.  Well the past few days she has gone right back to what she did when I was weaning her from the nipple shiled....eating for maybe 5-7 minutes on one side and then getting fussy or falling asleep after I switched her to the other side. (I don't take her off, she stops eating I burp and switch her).  Occasionally when she fusses I am able to get her to latch back on but not usually.  Could she possibly be full?  Do some older babies eat this quick?  She has been wetting diapers good and seems pretty content.  It almost seems like her getting fussy is what signals the end of a feeding but could this be normal?
