My pre-natal vitamins have been recalled!

Great.  What does that mean?  Am I going to get sick?  I guess I'll call my Dr. tomorrow!

Does it say why they were recalled?  I can't imagine you'd get sick from vitamins, but I'd probably ask your doc and find out what's wrong with them.

What IS wrong with them? ?I simply cannot find that info anywhere.?

Mine were recalled too! I take NatalCare Gloss Tabs.

I guess I will call Target tomorrow(where I get them from) and see if they have an alternative. YIKES!

Two companies are recalling a wide variety of prenatal vitamins and iron supplements. Ther-Rx Corporation and Ethex Corporation are both subsidiaries of KV Pharmaceutical Company. Both companies are voluntarily recalling the products because they may have been manufactured under conditions that did not comply with what?s called good manufacturing practice. I have been taking Nata tab for 6 to 8 months. The Pharmasist didn't seem worried when I called. I guess the last 2 times I filled it it was a new brand since they couldn't get mine anymore. I hope it's just something stupid. I get my free at Marsh so they didn't mention the switch.

i called my re and he just wrote me out a new script.  i also told him that i was taking one-a-day prenatals instead of the recalled ones until i could get a new rx, and he said it is fine to take the otc ones as long as i supplement them with extra folic acid.
