fighting over boy name...

    I agree, every boy name I suggest he says, that's stupid or I knew a guy who was a real jerk with that name....it's crazy just pick a name

    It took us months to agree on a girl name. All I kept thinking for awhile was I hope its a boy because if not this kid may never have a name.

    He wants to name it after himself, with a different middle name.. so its "technically" not a JR. His father has a similar name, so it would just be one after another.... Marc, Marcus, and Baby Marcus... no thank you! I said before he could name it Marcus, but we would call him by the middle name... and now he's got a fvcking problem with THAT!!?!?! I'm sorry but I don't see why he'd want to name his kid after himself after having such a similar name to his own father. Their mail gets mixed up, paper work, he almost got kicked out of the Army for paperwork getting screwed up between the names.... It's a mess. I hate it... "Is it so bad that I want to carry on the name?" Yes, yes it is.... especially because it will have your LAST NAME as well! Same first name, middle initial and last name.. now tell me shits not gunna get screwed up with THAT! URG! He infuriates me sometimes!

    We're the opposite - we can't agree on a girl name. ?The boy name was easy because DH is Greek and, in Greek culture, it's customary to name the first-born son after the paternal grandfather. ?However, girl names have caused quite a debate!

    Girl names were the easy one... we picked initials we wanted and looked up those names only. Maybe that will help? FI and I will have the same letters in our initials so we decided (lame as it is) all our kids would have the same initials as us. Boys will be MAN, girls will be AMN.

    Dang......maybe I am glad to be having a girl, even thought my husbands scared!  We actually picked out names when we first started dating.  Like a week into it, so we have stuck with those and I think because it was a new relationship then we didn't argue!  Good luck.

    HA! Which one... they both seem to have their opinions on it... I was really hoping for a boy. Now I want a girl, just so we don't have to argue anymore. And FYI he picked that first name too, but I like it so it's okay. The middle name is a play off of my older brother who died's name. Meika for Michael. :)
