I do payables for work & I just got a collection call about a past due invoice for $198 this lady was so rude I couldn't believe it. I told her I would get it out to her next week. She asked if we were having $ problems & I said yes just like everyone else & she
yelled at me that we are not a bank & you need to pay us now. Hello today is Friday & next week is 3 days away & it is for less than 200.00 you are going to be a huge bit*h & think that now I'm going to go out of my way to get you your $200 don't think so, you are now on the very bottom of the list of people I'm going to pay.
Re: Wow-collection call for work
I love when people get all bent out of shape for small amounts of $. ?I know that all the small amounts can add up, but seriously.?

I certainly agree that she sounds like a real piece of work. And it sounds like they are having money issues if she is screaming over a $200 bill.
However, I would not make it a habit of telling your vendors that the company is having $ trouble.
Collection callers can be so mean.
I used to constantly get calls for someone who had the same name as me, with my maiden name.
One time, this man called YELLING at me, "You think you can just go to college and not pay for it?!" I was near tears and he wasn't even calling about me!
I used to be a creditor's rights attorney and many of our clients were collection agencies. Some of them were the NASTIEST people.
First, you have the idiot who lent the money to the person who never gave an SS# - the easiest way to find people. Then, they default, and it gets shipped to the agency. They try. Fail. Then, they sent it to our office (when they threaten litigation, that was us).
We had this one case - no DD# and some random name like Mark Snyder where I got over 10,000 hits just in his last known state! These people called me every single day . Did I find him? Did I file suit? Are we moving forward?
All this for $700., $140. of which they were going to hand over to us!
I wanted to yell, "Hello! We're on YOUR side!!" They were so mean sometimes.
People are crazy about money. DH got a call last week because he forgot to pay his Macy's bill. It was 2 days late and he owed.....$7 freaking dollars. The woman on the phone was so rude. DH said he was going to the store to pay it the next day and he kept asking if he needed to be on a payment plan to avoid this from happening again. Seriously, he owed $7....crazy!
