I am finding that the 2T pants he has been wearing are getting tight in his belly. Some are from Target, some from Gymboree. The lenght of most 2T's are fine for him (some are actually getting short)- any suggestions of brands that are not cut really slim? He is not supersized or anything, his frame is just no where near skinny.

ditto this. he rarely wears jeans or kahkis for this reason. We just can't find any with enough elastic to fit his belly..so he crys about it being too tight. =(
Gymboree tends to run bigger, at least for girls. I usually have to bring the adjustable waistband in quite a bit for DD, so you should have more room in those.
Target runs slim. Old Navy runs slim.
I've heard Osh Kosh runs bigger.
TCP runs slim for girls, but I've heard the opposite for boys.
