Ok, in honor of full and fair disclosure, they are pants that are in my closet already. So while I'm not sure I could walk in to a store and wear any old pair of size 18, I did get my old 18 on this morning (which I could not get over my hips just one month ago)!
I am still not going to weigh myself until 02/24 with the hopes that all of the muscle gain/fat loss will balance out to an overall LOSS and give me some more motivation (versus the initial muscle gain that shows as a gain on the scale)!!!
Re: AW: Down a pant size!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!
Good for you
and thank you for last night. hahaha I dont know why that sounds so dirty to me
Love it! And you are welcome! Anytime! How are you feeling today?
That is wonderful!
DH was trying on old suits last night (to see which ones fit him since his weight loss). He has lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks on the Atkins diet. (why is it so much easier for men)?

little bit better. I totally fell asleep on the couch last night on the nest obviously. i have no life and that sort of shames me haha but I started that letter. it's long
congrats!! I love going down and being able to, as my DH puts it, "shop in my own closet."
As long as we're talking about losing weight, are you finding that you are losing all over or differently than you did before? I lost a bunch of weight before I got married but trying to lose this baby weight is completely different. I have to weigh myself almost every day to stay motivated because me clothes don't fit any differently at all. The scale says down 20 but my pants are telling a different story!
MrsE --- I have found that the biggest issue is the BELLY!
I can tell I'm losing in my legs/butt (which actually USED to be my problem area --- I never used to have a belly -- it was all ass!). Anyway -- this damn belly. So while my pants are fitting differently in the legs/butt, they are still staying the same size because that big fat gunt it holding them up! (See, that even SOUNDS disgusting!)
Anyway --- I know it must be going down --- slowly but surely --- because I don't think I could have buttoned these pants if it didn't. But it seems to be taking forever!
And, of course, we are all older now. And our bodies respond differently than they did in our early 20's and we have had kids. When in doubt, blame it on the kids!
The belly is my problem too. Then when I sit down on the floor with the girls my waisband falls under my belly and then my pants are falling down. But I totally look like one of those really fat truck drivers with my belly hanging out over my pants. Not the look I'm going for.
I'll join you in blaming it all on the kids. (It had nothing to do with the pizza I had for dinner last night as well!)
That's awesome! Congratulations!
You should start taking your measurements instead of worrying about the scale. There's something so motivating about seeing 1/2" lost in your waist or hips. I used to use mybodycomp.com to enter all the info, but that was years ago, and I can't find the site anymore.
