Hungry or fussy?

I may start pumping and nursing so this afternoon I pumped and got 2oz. I pumped again 2 hrs later and got 1 oz.  I gave dd 2 oz of pumped breast milk tonight ( normally i nurse exclusively) but shestill acted hungry so I nursed.  She then kept eating at fingers and is falling asleep in my arms, but cries and I think she is still hungry....she is 2 wks old.  How do I tell if she is fussy or hungry?

I would give her the 1 oz you pumped earlier to see if she is hungry.  You may have emptied your supply by pumping so she might not be getting anything by nursing.

We try the bottle and if she really doesn't actively eat she is just fussy. But 90% of the time it is hunger since she is not fussy at all unless she is hungry or needs a diaper change.

my dd at 2 weeks only fussed because she was hungry.  although she still only fusses when she is hungry!  when she is full she goes back to sleep!
