Babies: 0 - 3 Months

It's 6pm- should I wake him?

He's been asleep for going on 3 hours. Before this nap, he had slept for all of 30 minutes today so he's resting hard now. What would you do??

  • Let him sleep...my DD is sleeping right now too and does this to me ALL the time.  In most cases the late afternoon naps don't affect her night time sleeping.

  • i'm right there with you. DD has been asleep for about 2 hours and it's 4:00 here but it's such a catch 22!  She doesn't nap well but then when she does I get afraid she won't sleep at night time!  Some friends have told me their kids tended to sleep better at night when they napped well during the day.
  • The same thing is going on over here, but I'm just letting him sleep. The better he naps the better he sleeps at night!
  • What is it with these 2 month olds who want to nap on weird schedules?? :)
  • I think it may depend on the baby but when my DD naps for a long time or in the evening it doesn't really seem to affect her sleeping at night.  If I wake her from a nap it just makes her mad!

  • I'll just let him sleep then! He'll definitely make me pay if I wake him up. Lol.
