stores need handicapped buttons on their doors.

DS and i just ventured out to a few stores and I was amazed at how few of them had handicapped doors. ?well, actually, none of them did. ?these were all stand-alone stores or stores in shopping centers. ?it made me wonder what wheelchair bound individuals do...? ?even more disappointing that not a single employee or shopper offered to help.

  • Totally agree! Plus, I now seriously hate those double doors followed by another set of double doors. There is barely enough space in between to leave the stroller then try and open the next set. wtf?

  • Yes they do! Obviously this is more important for the handicapped, but it sure would help the mommy with the stroller as well. My favorite is when people watch me struggle to get the stroller through the door by myself. Men who walk by and ignore this are douches.

I think anyone who walks by and ignores this is a douche.  I even had a very elderly woman help me while this punk just walked right past both of us.  She just gave me this look that made me giggle... almost like she was cursing him inside.

  • oh yeah. I have learned that opnce the carrier goes int he stroller I put the handle down so if need be I can open the door and then grab the handle to pull the stroller through.
