What's your definition of a walker?

And not the thing that old people use to get around. 

Ben is getting really steady on his feet.  He's been taking 5-8 steps for weeks now.  Last night, he took about 20 steps.  He walks a good bit, but still crawls as his main source of transportation.

Just curious when people consider a baby as walking.  tia.

I considered him a walker when he stopped crawling and started walking full-time.  I told people he could walk when he took steps, though.

I will consider DS to be a "walker" when walking is his preferred mode of transportation. Right now he can do between 10-12 steps at his best but still mostly crawls.

well when Masen took his first 5-8 steps I considered it his first steps. 20? I consider that walking. He's been walking almost 2 months and still likes to crawl so he can get somewhere super fast. And he's still a stumbler. So I think you have a walker on your hands

I would call that  a walker....

Cheryll- do me afavor and tell Ben to SLOW down. Our babies are growing up too fast.

I'm not there yet but I'd saying he's walking when he takes several steps like your baby is doing but call him a walker when he no longer crawls at all.
