Prevacid question

my dr gave me a prescription for prevacid and wrote it out using the packets, but the pharmacist just told us that they do not make the packets anymore and of course the drs office is closed now, so he gave us a solutab and told us to cut it in half and dissolve it with water and give it to my DS through the dropper.  he is 6 weeks old and his dose was 7.5mg.  does anyone use prevacid and if so, what type is it and what it the dosage per day for your LO?

    We've been giving a full 15mg solutab since 8wks.

    I believe the Solutabs are 15 mg. My DS gets 1/day. It has been a miracle drug in our house.

    We got 5 doses of the packets before they were discontinued. consider yourself lucky...they were a nightmare to administer! the solutabs are so much easier. ?My DS is 9 weeks and gets 1 solutab mixed with 4 ml of water each morning. ?
