After eating dinner, that was the expiration date I discovered on the back of the dark soy sauce that I had just used to make dinner. um, that can't be good.

there's enough salt in that junk to keep for years.  I wouldn't worry.

I fed my husband soup last week that expired in '04.  I felt really badly about it, but not badly enough to tell him.  I'm a horrible wife.

He didn't get sick though! 

that made me literally LOL and feel better all at once.
