what does your DC do during tummy time - 1 month old

Is there anything she should be doing? A couple of weeks ago she would pick up her head and turn it side to side, but she doesn't do that so much any more and now just lays on the blanket or activity mat and licks it. We haven't been as good about tummy time as we should have been because she was getting pissed. (I think we were picking bad times to do it at).

well our DD has been lifting her head pretty much since birth, it's kinda crazy.  so when we put her on her tummy she lifts her head and has just started lifting her chest up too.  i don't think this is normal though... even the nurses said that she has some insane neck control really early (but some babies just do that, they say)!!! 

sorry this doesn't help you at all but i think all babies just work it out in their own time.  good luck!

My dd is the same.  She has a really strong neck for her age.  She was picking it up by 1 week.  Yesterday she rolled over from her tummy to her back.  I was pretty amazed!

DS has also been lifting his head since birth.  When he's on his tummy he now lifts it, turns it side to side and will lift his chest up also.  He's rolled over twice too but not intentionally - more kicking and swatting in frustrating and it happend.
