Formula never made a difference with DD and doesn't with DS either. He eats every 2hrs about 2-4oz.

I think every baby is different and I am not sure that it really has anything to so with FF or BF... my DD is BFed and she has been STTN since she was 5 or 6 weeks old. She is 4 months old now and still STTN

FF babies tend to sleep longer because formula is harder for babies to digest than breastmilk, so they don't get hungry as often. My BF baby still wakes up a lot during the night to nurse.

for the first 4 weeks I was only breastfeeding and he kept wanting to eat again only an hour later, so I started giving him formula at every other feeding and he definitly went longer between feedings, it seems like it satisfied him much more. I'm not sure if it was the formula or the amount he was getting because when he was breastfeeding I didnt have any idea how many ounces he was consuming.... i am still doing both and he sleeps about 3-4 hours at night before waking for another feeding or diaper change (whichever wakes him first)
My DD is BF. She used to eat every 4 hours and then have a long 6 hour stretch at night. Now that she is 4 months it seems like she is stretching it out longer - so she eats about every 5 hours and then has a long 7 hour stretch at night.
I BF'd for one month and stopped due to supply issues. FF made no difference for my DD who was not a great sleeper and just started STTN now at around 6 months.
I think breastmilk goes through a baby's system much quicker than formula. I bf about every 2-3 hours during the day and then every 4-5 hours at night. Ds will sleep 4-5 hours at a time at night. DS is 10 weeks old.
Eh....I have tried both before bed and no real luck. He was STTN when he was strictly just on bf and we have been feeding him formula before bed for a month now and he just STTN again last night for the first time. So I really don't think it has much to do with sleeping with our ds. However, we are trying the same pattern of what we did last night just to see what happens tonight!!
My LO is BF and eats every 3-4 hours during the day. She eats 5 oz at a time. When she was younger and we were working on getting her schedule for bedtime moved closer to 9 we would put a half scoop of formula in her last bottle. It seemed to thicken the milk enough to make her work for it more and the sucking itself would help her fall asleep. (She has never been one to use a pacifier to sleep at night)
She has always been a good sleeper and sleeps for about 8 hours a night. She eats a total of about 25-30 oz a day
My son is BF and he has been sleeping through the night since he was 5 weeks old.
