Nothing I do seems to make him happy. If he's awake and not watching his mobile, he's crying. What happened to my mellow baby that just loved to be held?
I'm going through the same thing. If my DD is not sleeping or eating, she is fussing. I'm almost at my wits end. I am hoping she is going through a hrowth sprut or something and my happy baby will come back! I hope it gets better for you soon!
I remember our pedi warning us at our 1 month appointment that DS would possibly go through a fussy/cranky phase shortly - and that it usually got better around 9 weeks or so. Hopefully your LO's grow out of it quickly!

I am right there with you! DS is only content when sound asleep or nursing! Argh!! I think that it's a growth spurt that will hopefully get better soon. Hang in there, and ask for help when you need it--I'm planning on letting DH and DS have some father-son time as soon as he gets home so I can get out of the house--I need a break!!

This makes me feel SO much better. So the fact that my kid has been miserable for the past week is normal, huh? I really hope that it is just a phase as PP said and my sweet little guy will be back soon....
I've read that 7-8 weeks is the peak fussiness period where babies are at their most unhappy, but by the next week or two, things really improve and they get a lot happier. Hang in there, it gets better!
I'm sadly glad to hear this from all of you because I was feeling like I was doing something wrong or that he doesn't like us. I have been doing lots of reading...I have Happiest Baby, and have borrowed No-cry Naps and Ferber which I read while bouncing baby in the bathroom (running water).
Re: Why is my baby always so unhappy?
Thank goodness mine isn't the only one!
I feel like I'm doing something wrong, or there is something wrong with her (reflux, gas, colic).
She is either sleeping, nursing, or crying! Hopefully it's just the age!
